OVERVIEW

A fourth consecutive win in Europe, Juventus retain their perfect win record in the Champions League and progress into the round of 16 in advance. With two goals from Dybala and one each from Chiesa and Morata, Juve grab a morale-boosting win and continue to top the group.

MATCH HIGHLIGHTS

The Bianconeri start off extremely strong, pressuring Zenit right off the bat and creating chance after chance. It didn't take long for Juve to capitalize, as Dybala scores a gorgeous volley from a corner in the 11th minute. La Joyaaa! This is the Argentinian's 105th goal for Juventus, overtaking "Le Roi" Platini. He celebrates as a tribute to a fellow Juventus legend.

However, the opponents were gifted an equalizer in the 26th minute, when an unlucky clearing header from Bonucci floats over Szczesny for an own goal. Juve continue to pressure and attack but the first half ends as an underwhelming 1-1 draw.

Juventus begin the second half with just as much threat, with some great chances coming again from Dybala. In the 58th minute, Chiesa was fouled inside the 18-yard box and the referee rules it a penalty for Juve. Dybala stepped up to the spot, missing his first attempt but making no mistake at the second time of asking after the referee ordered a re-take.

Juventus widen their lead later in the 73rd minute. Bernardeschi's great touch and pass send Chiesa into a run on the left flank. He dribbles and cuts past multiple defenders, slotting the ball into the far right corner of the goal perfectly. 3-1, Juve are heading for the win!

The damage doesn't end there, as Morata puts himself back onto the scoresheet as well through a clinical finish. Though Zenit are able to score another in added time, Juve retain their lead and the match ends 4-2!

JUVENTINA'S THOUGHTS

Great win for the team, especially after the last two close losses in Serie A. Juve looked threatening from the very beginning, finding 11 shots on target out of a whopping total of 26.  It was an energetic match, with the Bianconeri looking like the much stronger side throughout the entire game. Not only did Dybala have many other close chances to score, players such as McKennie and Chiesa also found themselves very close to adding another goal to their tallies. Though the team is far from where they'd like to be in Serie A, these matches give hope to fans as we witness great football being played. Juve's all-win record in the Champions League sends the team to the last 16 after just four matches, let's hope this form is reflected in the domestic league as well. Fino alla fine, forza Juve!
