WHAT MAKES THEM A LEGEND?

Ravanelli is a special player, not only for Juventus FC but also to Juventus Academy Shanghai. In 1992, Ravanelli joined Juventus, becoming part of a team which consisted of other legends such as Baggio, Del Piero, and Vialli. Ravanelli was a prolific goal-scorer, especially thriving under Lippi's management. He played a crucial role in the team's success during that period, notably scoring 48 goals across all competitions in two seasons. He has also memorably scored all five goals in a 5-1 win against CSKA Sofia in the Europa League in 1994. Perhaps more importantly, however, it was also Ravanelli who scored the opening goal against Ajax in the 1996 Champions League Final. Though Ajax would later equalize, Juve claimed the title on nerve-wracking penalties. With Juventus, Ravanelli won five titles- one Serie A, one Coppa Italia, one Supercoppa Italiana, one Europa League, and one Champions League.

Yet, more importantly, Ravanelli has become a Brand Ambadassor for Juventus and is involved in the club's Academy projects. He has thus visited us here at Juventus Academy Shanghai in 2019 for the Juventus Academy Shanghai Cup. Ravanelli was extremely kind and interacted with many of our players, and he holds a special place in our hearts.
