Juventus Academy Shanghai’s U17 team once again came away with a win, defeating Putuo Football School with a 3-1 scoreline.
The Bianconeri didn’t get a great start, as the opponents capitalized immediately before the teams settled down and scored within 30 seconds of the start of the match. However, this did not deter Juve and the team continued to play to their potential despite the less-than-ideal start. Hard work paid off before the end of the first half. In the 42nd minute, Mert’s far shot from the right flank beautifully curves into the bottom left corner of the goal, leaving the opponent goalkeeper unable to react in time. Halftime, Juve are level!
The second half started strong, with the U17 team continuing to pressure. At the 62nd minute, another beautiful long-shot rocket gives Juve the lead. This time it was Eli who dribbles straight down the middle and takes a powerful shot from just outside the edge of the center circle. Straight into the net beyond the goalkeeper, goal!
The damage didn’t stop there, as Juve found another goal in the 76th minute. The ball was played from a corner, with a short pass to Kevin Zhou. Kevin crosses the ball in perfectly to find Eli, who finds solid contact and heads it in with ease. Now Juve are ahead comfortably, and the scoreline is maintained until the end of the match. 3-1, three points for Juve!
