U17 Returns to Winning Ways in SFA

broken image

The Juve U17 team snatched a comfortable 8-2 win over their opponents Lions U17 despite dealing with multiple injuries from the previous week’s difficult match against Shenhua.

With first goalkeeper Gui not being at his 100%, Federico stepped up and had a great game. The rest of the team likewise performed well, with a hat-trick from Peter, braces from Eli and Sam, and one goal from Kevin Zhang.

The team started strong right off the bat, controlling possession and pressuring the opponents from the very beginning. Despite creating many chances, it took 19 minutes for Juve to finally break the scoreline. After that, more threats and goals came naturally and the first half ended with a 4-0 lead for the Bianconeri.

The second half continued in the same way and four more goals were scored by the 70th minute. Juve were unable to retain the clean sheet, however, as defensive mistakes led to the opponents scoring two goals. The team slowed down their pace for the remaining time of the match to conserve energy and prevent injuries for the next fixture, but unfortunately two players still faced injuries during this match. We wish all players a quick recovery and a great preparation for the next match. Let’s keep this up, Forza Juve!
