It is always a wonderful thing to hear good news from our players, even if they are no longer here in Shanghai. 16-year-old female goalkeeper Sophie moved back to the UK last July and parted ways with Juventus Academy Shanghai. Before that, she played with the club for three years and played a vital role in our Girls teams as the captain and reliable last line of defense. With Sophie's support, her team were Champions twice and won the silver medal in Bangkok's highly competitive tournament.
Ever since Sophie returned to the UK, she has continued her journey in football and won multiple titles with different teams:
- Kidderminster Harriers FC Ladies
- Bournville FC U16 Girls
- Bournville FC Ladies
Sophie also updated us with some amazing news- she has been offered a contract to play with West Bromwich Albion's U18 Girls team in the 2021/22 season! Congratulations to Sophie, we are so proud of her achievements.
