League Match Results (Nov 12)

Juventus Academy Shanghai had a day of mixed results last Saturday, with some great wins as well as some tough losses.

U10 Paredes

The U10 Paredes team showed great fighting spirit defeated RCD Espanyol by 5-2. Before the match, the coach stressed the importance of working as a team, attacking and defending against the opponents together. The players were able to execute the plan perfectly and posed as a huge threat on counter-attacks. The entire team, from the goalkeeper to the defense to the midfield to the offense, showed strong spirit, awareness, and skill. A very deserving win for the Juventus U10 team, Forza Juve!

U11 Di Maria

The U11 Di Maria team played against the Winger U11, their toughest opponent in the match, and won 4-1 in a great display of football. The opponents, like the Di Maria team, had won against the rest of the league’s teams by large margins. Despite the opponent team’s confidence, they were ultimately overshadowed by the Juve boys.

The match started off strong, with good attacking chances from both sides. However, it was Juventus who would first score in the 9th minute, through a great dribble and finish from Richard. Soon after, Phill makes it two for Juve. Both teams kept fighting for the next goal, and the opponents were able to equalize. The first half ended 2-1 for the Bianconeri.

After returning to the pitch, the U11 team was determined to secure the win. Two minutes into the second half, Ty scores from a corner and brings Juve 3-1 up! For the rest of the second half, Juventus defended amazingly and continued to push forward. In the final minutes of the match, Richard takes advantage of the opponent goalkeeper’s slow decision-making, and seals the deal. Full time, 4-1!

Through this win, the U11 Di Maria team not only made a huge step toward securing the champions title, but also showcased great team spirit and skill. The entire team and its players are full of potential, and we can’t wait to see you continue to reach new heights.

U12 Vlahovic

The U12 Vlahovic team started strong, but unfortunately lost to their opponents 0-5. The first 20 minutes was solid for Juventus, with many good chances and solid defending. However, towards the end of the first half, Juve suffered a bit in focus and conceded two goals. The situation did not improve in the second half. The team saw a drop in mentality and energy, conceded three goals, and were unable to score. Despite the result, the U12 team showed good level and potential in the first half. Let’s keep working hard and fight for a better result next time!

U13 Chiesa

The U13 Chiesa team also did well but lost against their opponent 0-3. Juventus fought hard, found many chances to score, and kept the scoreline at 0-0 for the majority of the match. However, the team conceded three goals in quick succession in the last five minutes of the second half. The result is unfortunate, but a good lesson for the team to understand the importance of focus and fighting until the end. In all, a good display from the team, Forza Juve!

U14 Bonucci

The U14 Bonucci team’s opponents did not show up for the match, the Juventus players practiced in a friendly match amongst themselves. It was a good opportunity for the players to try different positions and techniques on the pitch.

U16 Pogba

The U16 Pogba team played an intense match against tough opponents and lost 1-2. The match started with good action occurring on both ends of the field. Despite this, the result remained goalless and the first half finished 0-0. The second half started, and Juventus returned to the pitch with strong determination. The team increased their intensity and continued to pressure the opponents in front. Around ten minutes in to the half, Jacky dribbled past the last defender in the box and was fouled- a penalty for Juve! Matthew takes the penalty kick, scores clinically, and brings Juve in the lead. With fifteen minutes left to go, the opponents were eventually able to equalize, then score another to take the lead.

The result is difficult to accept since the Juve boys fought hard and gave everything on the pitch. However, this is another source of motivation for the team to keep improving and developing themselves. There will be another match against the same opponents in a few weeks time, let’s work hard and take the win next time.
