Last Sunday, the Juventus Elite Girls played their last match of the season to finish the team’s first ever endeavour in the Nv League. The match unfortunately ended in a tight 1-0 loss, but the girls and their spirit remain strong and ready to continue after the winter break. We also hope to welcome new additions to this great team!
Starting September, the Juventus girls joined the biggest international amateur women’s league in Shanghai as a very young team playing against adults. Despite the magnitude of this new challenge, the girls stepped up and performed well. The team won four of their first five matches of the season, notably earning a well-deserved victory against the current and reigning champions of the league. The results have been less than ideal after this big victory, but the Bianconere consistently showed improvement in their understanding of the game as well as their spirit. Even compared to their adult opponents, the Juventus girls showed amazing potential and skill. However, there is always room for improvement! From next season on, the team will not only focus on further improving their technical level, but also their mental strength and willingness to fight. We want to teach our girls not to be afraid of any challenges ahead and to believe in their own strength.
