This Monday on February 15th, the Juventus Academy Shanghai U18 took part in an 8-a-side CNY tournament against adult teams to challenge themselves over the break. The team did an incredible job, unbeaten for five games except on penalties.

In the group stages, the Bianconeri won all three of their matches and topped the table of their group at 9 points. The first two matches were a tight 2-1, but the third match saw Eli scoring four goals as well as Fynn and Julien with one each for a huge 6-0 win for Juve.

In the semi-finals, the U18 went against a German team, and the regular time of the match ended in a 1-1 draw. Unfortunately, the team lost on penalties and went on to fight for the third-place title. Yet, against the Spanish team this time, Juve draw once again with a 2-2 score and went out on penalties.

The team ended up in 4th place, but this is not an accurate reflection of the players’ great performances. Good job to everyone, it is great to see the learning and improvement made throughout the season, Forza Juve!
