Despite the rainy weather, Juventus Academy Shanghai had an amazing weekend. All five JAS teams that played last Saturday finished their matches with great victories! The Juventus Elite Girls’ match was postponed to a later date.

U8 Bremer

The U8 Bremer team completely dominated against opponents AKSIL U8 and won with a comfortable 7-1 scoreline. The young Juve players were stronger both individually and as a team, and played great cooperative football to penetrate and attack. With three goals from Jiwoo, two from Gray, from Koutaro, and one AKSIL own goal, the Bianconeri won convincingly. Great performance, Forza Juve!

U10 Paredes

The U10 Paredes team completely dominated their match and won against their opponents 8-0. The team took about 10 minutes to get focused and score the first goal, but from there the match was all Juve’s. The U10 was constantly attacking and did not give the opponents any chance to breathe or recover. The first half finished 2-0 with many more clear opportunities missed. The second half was even better, as the team played by quick passes and great teamwork. With five goals from Tuur and goals from Gray and Francesco, the match ended 8-0. Wonderful team performance!

U11 Di Maria + Chiesa (friendly)

The U11 Di Maria team together with the Chiesa team dominated and scored seven goals against the AKSIL U12 Red team. Juve took the lead very early on through a well-executed penalty kick taken by Jonah. The team continued to push on the attack, and Jeremy made it two for Juve after recovering the ASKIL keeper’s goalkick and taking a beautiful far shot. Before the end of the first half, a great combination from Jonah and U11’s Louis made it 3-0 at half-time. The second half’s pace did not slow down at all, as Jonah converted Karen’s assist and added one more goal to his collection. U11’s Raymond and Ty combined to score another beautiful team goal, and soon after, Jeremy scored the rebound off Richard’s shot. To top it all off, Louis scores another goal in the same fashion as his first! A great team performance, check out all of the goals in this video compilation below!

U12 Vlahovic + U11 Di Maria (friendly)

The U12 Vlahovic team together with some U11 Di Maria players played against GNFC and won 3-1. The team had a great game, showing good ball control and superior positioning and tactical knowledge. The goals came from Jason (assisted by Louis) and Luscien who scored two. Luke also came very close to getting a goal, but the shot hit the crossbar. The rest of the team also did great, especially considering the team’s average younger age. Jeffery was great in goal, along with the rest of the U11 players. Michael and Roy were also very solid on the defense and stopped the opponent’s attacks. In all, the team is consistently improving and getting more comfortable on the pitch. Deserved win, good job!

U16 Pogba

The U16 team took last Saturday’s match against a weaker team as a chance to try out new positions, and won 2-0. After the previous week’s difficult loss, the coach encouraged all of the players to fight for their place in the team and have some minutes on the pitch. Though the team did have to adjust to the rotations, in general the players reacted well. On the pitch, Juve was superior in all aspects during the game. Despite the narrow win, it was a relatively comfortable game and our goalkeeper was rarely tested by the opponent’s attack. Though the U16 team did well, they must also focus on being more clinical with their chances and finishing. In all, a good win; more challenging matches await us, let’s keep working hard!
