Another win for Liverpool, Jurgen Klopp receives the title of Best Coach. After leaving Dortmund for Liverpool in 2015, Klopp has been extremely influential in bringing Liverpool to the top in both the Premier League and Champion’s League. Klopp led the team to the top of the Premier League table for the first time in the 19/20 season, with the previous year’s winners Manchester City trailing behind with an 18-point gap. The Reds also lead the table now, after a crucial 2-1 win over Tottenham earlier this week. Even in the Champion’s League, after losing the final in 2018 against Real Madrid, the English team reaches the finals again the following year but was able to win the title this time around.

Lastly, the Puskas Award for the best goal of the season was awarded to Korean striker Son Heung-Min. In an outstanding individual effort, Son dribbles from his end of the field to the other, with not 1 or 2, but SEVEN opponent players running for the ball under his feet. He finishes the goal with ease, and the audience erupts into a roar. Son is now unquestionably the best East Asian player in top-flight football, leading in goals scored in the Premier League along with Calvert-Lewin and Salah.
