MATCH HIGHLIGHTS

With Dybala and Morata injured and Kean on the bench, Allegri started the match with a 4-4-2 and no true striker on the pitch. From the beginning, Chelsea dominated possession but Juve stayed solid in defense to diffuse any attacks. Though the Bianconeri found a few good chances on the counter, the first half ultimately ended 0-0.

Chiesaaaa! As the second half began, it only took 10 seconds for Juve to take the lead! Bonucci passes long, Rabiot gets the header, Bernardeschi makes a great assist, and Chiesa finishes with a beautiful shot beyond the goalkeeper. Juventus are 1-0 up right at the start of the second half!

Juve settled into a more defensive mindset after the goal, with a few great chances from players such as Bernardeschi. The Italian is subbed off for Kulusevksi in the 66th minute. McKennie, Kean, and Chiellini also replace Rabiot, Chiesa, and Bentancur later in the second half. Even though Chelsea posed a bit of threat toward the end of the match, Juve stay focus throughout and grind out the win. Full time, 1-0, Juve take the three points!

JUVENTINA'S THOUGHTS

What. A. Match. Despite Juventus having only 34 percent of possession, Allegri's side was the team that deserved to come on top. With solid defending throughout the entire match, Juve took advantage of their chances and Chelsea's attacks did not look threatening until the last minutes. The duo of Chiesa and Bernardeschi was a great pairing, the latter providing the assist for Chiesa to score the winning goal for the Bianconeri. Bonucci and De Ligt did extremely well to minimize the threat that Lukaku poses.  Every other player on the pitch also did wonderfully, playing as a team and showing the consistent grinta that Juve seemed to be missing in the last few matches. Beyond the three points, this win is absolutely crucial in terms of morale for the team and the supporters. To win a match against the reigning UCL Champions even with Dybala and Morata injured is a huge feat and great sign for the team's development. This vintage Allegri-esque 1-0 victory is extremely reminiscent of the "old Juve", the same Juve that reached two UCL finals in three years. All in all, one cannot make a conclusion based on one good match, but this win gives a lot of hope for the future. This weekend's match against Torino ahead of the international break is yet another test for the Bianconeri. Let's hope that this win streak and team mentality will continue, Fino alla Fine, Forza Juve!
