The Juventus Elite Girls team finished last Sunday’s match with a draw. In comparison to the last few matches, this game should have been one of the easier ones. However, nothing in football is for free and victory does not come easy.
Juventus remained the better team on the pitch throughout the entire match, but struggled to penetrate in the first half. The opponent’s goalkeeper was also very strong and saved all of Juve’s attempts. After conceding a goal half-way through the first half, the Juve girls saw a drop in mentality. The first half finished 0-1 down.
Juventus returned to the pitch and started a much better second half. The team kept their opponents in their half, played dynamic football, and eventually earned a well-deserved goal scored by Olivia. Though Juve kept on pushing and fighting for the winning goal, the match finished as a disappointing draw.
In all, the girls showed promise but could have done better. The team will keep working hard in training to earn the most points possible from the remaining matches of the season. There will be a tough match coming up this Sunday, so good luck and Forza Juve!
