Academy Match Results 4/24

The results from last Saturday’s matches were a mixed bag, with some great wins and tough losses. Here were the results:

U7: 3-0 Win

U9: 11-0 Win

U12: 3-4 Loss

Dybala: 2-6 Loss

U13 Ronaldo: 1-2 Loss

U16: 2-1 Win

U7

The U7 sprung back from their loss last week with a strong 3-0 win against their opponents. Our players put up a great performance, and Rafael, Edoardo, and Ricky got a goal each. Gray did amazing in goal, he saved all the shots coming from the opponent and built attacking chances from the back with Lucas and Rafael. Lucas is improving a lot in his vision on the pitch and Luffie, as usual, was very consistent in pushing the play forward and blocking counterattacks. William and Oscar were important to the team by using their physicality to give pressure. Livia is growing more confident every match and improving in her performance as the team’s striker. Great job to the young Bianconeri!

U9

Huge result for the U9, winning with a result of 11-0. The team completely dominated the play from the get-go, ending up with an 8-0 lead at halftime. In the first half, we saw some great goals from Louis and Tameem who both scored a hat-trick and Raymond’s powerful brace. The second half was strong as well, and Louis as the second half’s only goal-scorer bags another 3 goals. Ty and Tuur’s strong defensive performances were also key to the team keeping a clean sheet and building from the back. Chris, Albert, and Enzo were solid in defense as well. Mibao was strong on the right and Jacob on the left, giving the opponents pressure and assisting. Raymond’s strong presence in the midfield was crucial for the match, and Tameem and Louis were clinical and amazing in attack.

U12

Strong performance from the U12 that unfortunately ended in a loss. We saw two great goals from Alan who was very clinical with both his left and right foot. The third goal came from Owen, and the build-up to the goal was beautiful to watch. From Karen, back to Luscien, to Hanson, to Luis, then to Owen who smashes it in. Check out the goal below! Good performance overall, better luck with the result next time.

DYBALA

The Dybala team did their best against their opponents but unfortunately lost the match. The team has a lot of potential and has put up great performances in the past few matches. We believe that the team will go on to win more matches week by week.

U13 RONALDO

A very tough loss for the U13 Ronaldo boys, but an important lesson to learn. Sky’s goal put Juve in the lead, and it seemed like the boys were headed for a win. However, after two fatal mistakes which caused the team to concede, Juve had trouble creating chances to score and the match ended with a loss. This was an extremely disappointing result for the team as it easily could have gone another way, but this kind of match is inevitable and the coaches believe it is a good learning moment for the players. We expect the team to return more determined than ever, to finish the rest of the season with strong performances all around.

U16

An exhilarating match, Juventus U16 won the match 2-1 with a last-minute winner. The team’s morale was high after the previous week’s win and the players sought to continue this streak. Juve took the lead rather early on, when Alvaro’s powerful free-kick took a slight deflection and reached the back of the net. At halftime, Juve were up 1-0 and standing strong. However, a mistake from the team allowed the opponent to level and the danger became more threatening. As the game approached the last minutes, both teams had good chances but it looked like the match would end in a draw. Matthew Zhou then fed the ball to Alvaro, who dribbled it down the middle through the defenders and smashes it in goal! An amazing winning goal, the entire team including the parents and supporters run to celebrate. Great performance from all the players. The team first started in a 4-4-2, then a 4-1-4-1 which eventually switched to a 4-3-3 when the opponent leveled. The center-backs Quintin and Roshan were solid all throughout the match, and Quintin came close to scoring a goal when the teams were level but was unlucky and hit the post. Players like Matthew Wang and Chris were also important in giving the opponents that physical pressure to keep the team in the game. In all, a wonderful performance and a well-deserved win for the boys!
