MATCH SUMMARIES

SENIOR TEAM

The Juve Senior Team continue their introduction to the 11-a-side league with another tough match. The coach put the players in a 4-2-3-1 formation with Gui in goal after his first match since his return from injury. From left to right, Julien, Nolann, Amar, Ali made up the defense. Meison and Amit started as the two CDMs and Sam, Eli, and Fynn as the CAMs. Finally, Tendai was up in front as striker. The first half was a tight match and a goal from Fynn put the Bianconeri in front early in the game. The opponent was able to bring it back to 1-1 before the halftime whistle. It was a physically tough match and the players began to be worn down. Due to a few defensive mistakes and some 1v1 goals on Gui, Juve conceded two more and the match ended in a 3-1 loss. Despite the result, this was a good start for the team to familiarize themselves with a more challenging league to do better next time.

U16

The U16 team also put up a good fight but were unable to find the back of the net and lost 2-0 to their opponents. It took a while for the Bianconeri to get their heads in the game, as a collective defensive mistake and miscommunication led to the opposing team getting in an early goal. This scoreline remained for a longer time as Juve tried to create chances, but the possibility of a comeback diminished when another goal was conceded. Though there were no goal-scorers this match, many players exhibited strong performance and kept the team in contention during the entirety of the match. Considering the opponent team’s higher average age, the U16’s performance was solid and shows great potential for the future.

U13

The U13 team put themselves one step closer in contention for the Championship in an important 3-1 win over their opponents. Juve started off strong, with Jacob (#21) scoring the opening goal. The opponent had a few chances, but the first 45 minutes ends 1-0. In the second half, after the opponent level, the Bianconeri started to pressure the opponents even more and create chances to threaten their goal. In a burst of speed, Jacob makes a run on the right and slots the ball into the far end of the goal for a brace. Just three minutes later, Juve make it 3-1. Jacob tries to go for a hat-trick, but the ball rebounds off of the goalkeeper as the latter attempts a save. Luckily, Toby is there and he makes it 3 with an off-the-ground volley. Many other players contributed to the team’s great win. Joshua (#5), Yogo (#7), and Giacomo (#21) gave stability and helped the team to its win through their smart plays. The players that started on the bench- Johnny (#30), Alan (#31), Keke (#16), and Jack (#8) also showed good performance and made sure the team stayed on top.

Good job to the U11 team!

Once again, Louis (#9) and Lucca’s (#8) goals brings U8 a victory! Even though the team was missing a few players in the first half, the Bianconeri managed to take a 2-1 lead over their opponents. The second half went even better as Juve succeeded in not conceding a second goal, and the final score ends 4-1 as Louis completes yet another hat-trick. Francesco (#18) did a great job in defense, and Jacob’s (#24) performance in-goal was crucial for this win.
